It discusses set up of the endoscope for ear disease, practical considerations for use, and showcases a range of ear co

nditions diagnosed and managed endoscopically. It also shows use of the endoscope as an adjunct to surgery, either via the ear canal or through the bulla. Each topic and condition is demonstrated using high resolution images, and links to online videos. Edited by Dr Kureshi, a veterinarian with over

two decades of experience in ear endoscopy, and Prof Bhutta, a world renown expert in human ear surgery, makes this a first of its kind, an indispensable reference for basic and advanced practitioners in the field. There is no previous book on ear endoscopy in veterinary medicine, but this is defin

itely an emerging and establishing field. The two lead editors ran the first endoscopic ear surgery course for small animals in the USA in 2021, which was well attended and had excellent feedback. 短期一般沖刷與彎道基腳沖刷預測研究-以清水溪為例

具坡陡流急卵礫石之清水溪河段為濁水溪重要支流之一,於洪水上漲過程發生急劇短期一般沖刷,並促使斜向流於河道堤防基腳沖刷。根據濁水溪水系歷史災損情形,清水溪福興圳護岸為近年河道沖刷潛勢較高河段。為了瞭解堤防基礎沖刷災害與河道水砂條件間之關係,本研究採用 SRH-2D 二維水理輸砂模式執行動床水理演算,並根據四河局 (2017) 埋設之無線沖刷追蹤粒子之沖刷深度監測,以2016~2017年颱洪事件作為模擬條件,並完成檢定與驗證。經由一系列模擬結果,影響河道沖刷之因素包括:有效洪水稽延(tp)、來流含砂濃度(SSC-Q)、地形高程之改變。此外,河道短期一般沖刷(dgs)與彎道基腳沖刷深度(dbs)

,係根據既有現場觀測資料與模擬成果,並納入有效洪水稽延(tp)與河道幾何因子(B/R)-水面寬與曲率半徑之比值,經與國內外相關研究做比較,初步顯示本研究推導經驗式適用於本土化之河川。
