本研究採用內容分析法、以及焦點團體討論法為研究方法,試圖從消費的觀點探討經典品牌的意涵以及為日後提供討論的框架。在研究開始之初便透過文獻整理以及焦點訪談歸納出經典品牌應具備的必要要素分別為:具有品牌故事、具有正面的知覺品質、較高的價格、廣受消費者歡迎、歷史性,以及獨特性六個重要要素,在經歷的資料的蒐集以及研究後,本研究將”較高的的價格”要素排除並驗證其他要素與經典品牌的連結最後提供對經典品牌的初步討論架構。
