英文互動學習雜誌對台灣高中生英語聽力及單字習得之影響

使用課外讀物來增進學生的英語能力在近年來蔚為風潮，其中一樣受歡迎的讀物就是英文互動學習雜誌。此研究旨在探討英文互動學習雜誌對於台灣高中英語聽力理解及單字學習之成效，並了解學生對於英文互動學習雜誌的看法。研究對象為兩班同等程度的學生，一共 64 位，在十二週內分別以英文學習雜誌和英語電影為學習素材。控制組看該班老師選擇的英文電影或短片，並背誦老師針對電影中生字列出來的單字表。實驗組則是每週上至少四小時的英文雜誌課程，回家作業也被要求要看雜誌的影片，每週都會有聽力及單字考試。在研究工具上，本研究使用大考中心的英聽測驗考古題及全民英檢中檢的單字題作為前後測工具，確認兩組起點程度相同並評量英語聽力及

單字學習的進步情形。此外，共有 8 位學生參與半結構式訪談，表達對於此實驗教學之看法。研究結果顯示，在聽力理解方面，實驗組學生有顯著進步。然而，在單字學習方面，雖說兩組都有顯著進步，但兩組進步幅度差不多。根據訪談結果，受訪學生分別對偏好的文章類型提出建議，絕多數學生也贊同英文互動學習雜誌能帶來好的影響，有少數學生則表示教學方法比教材重要。本研究指出若搭配學生喜歡的教學方式，英文互動學習雜誌能有效增進學生的英語能力。此外，研究結果可供高中英語老師參考，以將英文互動學習雜誌有效納入課程中。
